Without the supporting gateway, standalone price tags fail to receive update commands or function normally. This dedicated gateway design also stabilizes wireless communication across the whole supermarket environment.

Can a SIM card be inserted into the sensor of the HPC168 bus passenger counter?
The HPC168 passenger counter unit itself does not support SIM‑card functionality. It can connect to an external GPRS module via the RS485 protocol for network connectivity.
